A so called traditional barley twist is achieved manually using marking and cutting.Plenty of info in libraries abound. The French Pierre went into infinite detail one time how he does it manually using hand skills on this forum.

Magic was all i needed !!!!!
Unfortunately , no skill involved to create the Barley Twist.
This is all i needed to make the pen.
Took no skill at all.
Pre drilled Twisted plastic tube off ebay , a range of paint to paint the tube, glue and a Brass Zeta tube
Just turned the ends of the plastic to the bushes , light sanding and voila.

There may be some people will be feeling a little disappointed by your disclosure. My own view is that it's a brilliant solution to making a pen. There are no pen making police and it's all about making pens, not necessarily about turning them from traditional materials using traditional techniques, but finding new ways of moving the boundaries and exploring other avenues.
In my opinion there is more thought and physical process involved in the making of this pen than in many I have seen that involve not much more than pressing parts into a pre-sized blank they've bought in. If we'd all known your method when you posted the pen originally, I still think it would have deserved Pen of the Week. It's original thinking and has resulted in a great looking blank.

Now you have let down the whole forum.
Thanks Phil , my intention was not to be deceitful & I never intended to fool anyone.
I am always looking to make pens out of anything different .
Sorry if i dissapointed anyone but if you look back , i won the pen of the week with a carved wooden Rhino that i converted into a fountain pen !!!
I Will be always looking to create something different in the future, that is what i enjoy doing.
