Inspired by Ed's comment on Jim's Lean-to thread here is my Retreat,
Above shows my Record CL1 and Short Bed Graduate with Vacuum chuck on the wall, disc sander made from an old Clarkes lathe, table saw and planer under bench and bandsaw.

Above shows Grinder, Bench Drill, Router table under bench and basic home-made metal lathe.
All in half a garage, keep my motor bike in the other half!
Now, show us yours!!

That is a nice place John, in this picture you can see the shed i work from .. This now holds such as the bandsaw, router table, drum sander etc .. John i appreciate what you saying about space, this is why i wanted the lean-to so that i could free up some space ... Its a long time since i have seen a Graduate like you have in your shed .. :winking:

Very nice layout that John puts mine to shame I have been demoted from a large double garage to a 20ft x 10 ft woodturning shed and a single garage for metal work lathe ,Milling machine and a few other machines and now all I have is 10FT x 8ft with no room to swing a cat I will take some photos tomorrow mind I'm going to have a change around it just isnt quite working for me as it is but hay ho I can still enjoy myself still

Thanks for sharing John, always interesting to see other folks layout.

Nice idea on the disc sander, wouldn't mind making something like that myself if only I had the room.

How do you get on with the remote sockets? I`ve got through 3 different lots & have given up on them now.

Doug, at the moment I have one controller, 3 sockets, 2 in the Retreat, 1 indoors, last week my daughter text me and said my extractor was running, she had turned it on when trying to turn tv on, must get a separate set!

I bought one quite a few years ago from Camvac before they were quite common place, it was pretty dear but lasted quite a few years. When it packed up I bought a cheap set from Tesco but they only lasted a few weeks, I got them swapped & whilst the new ones lasted longer they still, one by one, gave up the ghost.

That said I do miss the convenience of having them.

I got 3 units and 1 controller from Maplins on a special for about 10 quid, will get another set when on offer again, brilliant for controlling extractor when using bandsaw or planner!

Here's my workshop, not as clean as turnarounds. It's a 10 foot by 8 foot wooden shed at the bottom of my garden.

I'm thinking of building a shed extension as I'm a bit cramped.
