Also finished today, one I started at a demo at Wear Valley Woodturners but didn't get time to finish. A closed end Beaufort Mistral in burr elm. Finished with melamine lacquer.
No closed end mandrel or other fancy kit was used. Started off on a standard mandrel with one bush and the other end supported with a revolving centre in the tailstock. Then parted off and mounted to complete the turning and finishing in a good old fashioned jam chuck turned from scrap.
