Love them vic, Do you use fruit jaws?
No Dan I just do the pointed end first and then use a spindle gouge and go as thin as I dare . Polish them up and part it off following the shape of the bottom of the egg with the spindle gouge and just hand finish the nib that's left.

Impressive. The company i used to work for manufactured plates to fit a chuck one which you could fix timber to.

Vic do you sell them? I made some for my wife years ago. Might be an idea for grand daughters.
