mark would it be possible to make pens out of .243 win cartridges that I have been given or are there to small

Mark I seen cartridges for sale but no bullets can you tell. Me please were I can get a few from how did you get the finish on the top part of the pen above
I buy my bullets from a couple of gunshops that I use local....I'll have a look for some .243s...
The pen above was a .223 case, the top was turned acrylic, i shaped it like a bullet case, finish was micromesh then Farcla paint Polish 300 and 500
