Whilst I was banned woodworking etc following a heart op I spent many hours flat on my back surfing the net and you tube and decided that once I got back in the workshop I would have a go at bandsaw boxes. (Also I was getting bored with pens … Heresy I know). So in order of learning and many...

Made another box this time I faced the drawers with 3mm Purple Heart to give a contrast. The insides I finished with suede tec with works very well but the glue leeched through the masking tape in parts and into the wood. It sinks in deep and is a devil to remove hence the traces of blue.

Afternoon all,
This is really a question to those of you who make up segmented pens.
What type of saw do you use to cut the segments - bandsaw, table saw etc. I'm looking at the Axminster HBS200N or the Proxxon MBS 240E as two mini bandsaws with good specs and thin blades. Or what would you...

After busting my bandsaw blade which incidentally used to cut my acrylic blanks a treat I went ahead and order what I thought was the same type blade (6 tpi x 1/4 in) off the internet. Turns out I ordered something that lumberjacks use for cutting down giant redwoods ! It looks more like a rip...
