Been turning pens since a got a small wood lathe in October and really enjoying it. Had a general wood working interest for a number of years so was pretty much kitted out before I got the lathe.
Working for the NHS I have found it relaxing to come home and transform a square of wood...

I posted images of the rough blanks for these a few weeks ago but have been without a lathe until the past few days.
A few hours has been spent spinning, polishing and finishing.
These are the completed pens - a dozen of them - all made in acrylic polymer and mounted on these matching Black...

I see all your beautiful photographs of your beautiful pens on here and have realise using my camera phone to take photos on my work desk just isn't enough!
What do you guys use to photograph your pens? What is the best way to lay out the pen? Do you use flash or lighting?
