Propelling pencil and pen set, not in one of my "home made" boxes either. But in a presentation box all the same. I do realise there is a place for my boxes and slimline ones aren't one of them

I have been busy but not turning. Just finished these two jewellery boxes for someone. The first was made from reclaimed mahogany someone was throwing out and the second was a thick piece of wood from a off cut pile at a local carpenters shop.
Both finished with chestnut acrylic sander sealer...

Well, there will be boxes after this one so I have started this as I will be making a few over the next week.
So to start off a box in laburnum finished with sander sealer and woodwax22. I would have made two but I stopped to cook my good lady a meal for a change.

Well, fresh final coat of Melamine Lacquer put on a set of boxes today just as my mate popped in to pick up a few things.
He was very interested in what I was doing and said why don't you use car lacquer, I explained that melamine dries faster than the standard acrylic and cellulose car...
Hope this is in the right place. I usually get these boxes from turnersretreat but they are out of stock and have a 7 week wait on them. I can order them from penkitsmall but before I do i'm wondering if anyone else knows a supplier in the UK or Ireland for them.
