[ Drilled out the blank to fit the Mt kunlun kit... Took most of the scales with it... Not a happy bunny. Spose I'll have to try my hand at carving now :sob:

Not woodwork, well there is at least a bit of burr elm there. No wonder I don't have time to make pens. :thinks: The missus is pleased with them but Bob's bored now so started a little carving for the granddaughter. Made from scrap copper pipe of various sizes from 6mm up.

Living up in the Highlands I do not get to many events where there are woodwork and demonstrations so it was nice to get out to Logie Steading near Forres on Saturday. It was a very interesting event I did not realize there is a sawmill there with lots of lovely wood for sale and managed to get...

After watching carving demos at Northumbrian Woodturners in April I decided to give carving a try. Don't hold your breath for any pictures of my work, I need a lot of practice before I produce anything worth posting. But rather than pay anything from £30 to £60 for a plain looking but good...

My only carving over the festive season. Didn't want to trust myself with the chisels after a few drinks. First attempt at drilling holes for the eyes. Not sure if I like it. Anyway I wish every one of you a great New Year for 2017.
