    1st. Celtic Knot

I'd got fed up of cutting wood with my old plastic el cheapo mitre box, so I got a 14tpi Wood Hand Mitre Saw from Screwfix. After trying it out I thought 'Lets see if I can make a Celtic Knot, blank...this was the result, not perfect, but with more practice... I'd always assumed that one...

    Triple Delight

This is the first triple Celtic I have made. The hardest part was producing the walnut hexagon on a band saw. Then measuring it to get all six sides to within an acceptable tolerance. And of course holding it on the lathe to give a dead centre hole. I made a piece long enough to give me a...

    Celtic Knotwork

I have had this one in the pipeline for a while. (I work on it between paying jobs!) The barrels are from a custom blank from Tim McKenzie (@mckenziepenworks), and I think it is my very favorite of his work to date. It’s subtle and classy…but the diamond sparkle takes over in natural light...
