I made this out of a lovely piece of English yew after having a conversation with a friend who begged me to make a pen using a light shade of wood. This one seemed to tick the box and as soon as he had seen the photo he rang up and bought it!
I’m afraid yet again its a mirror finish from me and...

It's been a while since I've finished a pen, or posted, so here's two. Both for my Dads 70th this weekend, should make him feel a bit younger considering the wood is thousands of years older than him!
Finished with melamine lacquer and matted with wire wool.

The final message to the Lords from the Commons on the EU(Withdrawal) Bill - YouTube
This is the mind-boggling message that left peers chortling:

Just in case some of you have some fancy saw storage. I have just won a set of japanese saws, which will be added to my collection of other saws English style. With the English saws there is not a problem in making a till for them. I was just wondering how is the best way to store the japanes...
Hi all,
it's my first post, I make some pens from 5 or 6 month. I will show some of them...
Sorry for my words, I'm french and not very very good in English :)

A collection of pens I managed to get done this week.
Two popular burr with brass infill an coated with CA.
Two English Olive wood (The stuff I had from Neil) Finished with EEE.
This was my first ever attempt at doing a segmented pen using nothing but scraps left over from previous pens, and some cuts from an old rifle stock. The English walnut was very very dense, and clearly came from the era of rifle stocks which were built to last!

Taking the idea from Woody thought I would make a couple of pens and stands only showing one as the second has not yet got it's badge.
Made from English Oak, sorry about the photo a little out of focus in places.
L-R we have Oak, Pippy Oak, Sweet Chestnut, 35,000 yr old Swamp Kauri, 2 x Olive, Medlar, English Walnut, Tasmanian Blackwood and African Blackwood.
The flame/ripple on the Tasmanian Blackwood is stunning.
