    After reading a bit about different timbers fluorescing under UV light and it being able to help with identification the Wood Fairy bought me a UV torch. It might take you a while but can you spot the Robinia? ;-)

    Present from the log fairy

    Look what the log fairy gave me, ok so they are log slices from a trunk and not quarter sawn but that spalting looks good. They will need a little trimming to get then to swing on my lathe as i can only do 12in diameter. Have sealed the ends and will see what happens. There are six in total
