friends

Bristol based - been wood turning a short time, and have been introduced to pens by a friend (oh dear!) I have made one, and suddenly seem to have a list of orders from friends and family! Various bits of kit now winging their way here from Beaufort Inks / Axminster, so will start to play!

Some doodling on the scroll saw which will be presents for a couple of horticultural friends.

I was given so pear wood by friends - 'Could you make a pen out of this?' From this to this I'm off to visit them soon & I know they have a good supply of pear so I'm going to blag some!

I know its not everyone’s cup of tea but i rather like oak especially when its from a friends garden!

As per my prviouse post, I am slowly getting back into the swing of things. Workshop is now close to being how I want it and casting is now back up and running... Some I make into pens, some I give away to friends that have just started turning and I am starting to get a fair pile of blanks...

For a couple of friends finished with melamine laquer thinned 10% with acetone and sprayed with an airbrush

Finally finished the pens which are destined to be wedding presents for friends who are tying the knot today....

Just thought Id let you all know I managed to sell my equipment to a friend who makes toys. It will be perfect for him. Anyway back to what I do. Here is a sign I just did for a friends bar he had built in his garden. Hope he likes it. Regards Peter
