    Lignum vitae

    This timber has been listed on the Cities restricted list like many timbers treated this way these days.It turns,belieing its reputation as the heaviest and hardest of timbers. My first pen of Lignum was a scrap from a Ships bearing supporting the drive shaft after forty years. Peter.

    A neighbor of a fellow turner sold 100+ trees to a veneer company. They take the trunks and leave the rest. The bowl is 15" diameter. Pics are the inside and bottom. Even though it is green it was by far the hardest most difficult piece of wood I have ever turned. Almost 2 hours to rough...

    My first time working with S&B Inlaced acrylic. I must admit, this has been the hardest acrylic to work with! But the results are nice. Adie
