Hi , I’m going to a deer farm soon to track down some antler for pens, but has anyone tried sheeps horn? It’s a lot easier to get hold of. Cheers.

This was supposed to be for me but I don't like it so will probably sell it on where I go to fish. Specifically I think the tiger bamboo is too fussy on a kit with that much detail and maybe should be a much plainer wood or even antler or horn. I'm not sure I like the kit either but being a keen...

Haven't been doing much turning lately but I have made this. Horns are fashioned from deer antler and the wings from rams horn. It will be mounted on a hazel shaft eventually. Forgot to mention its 7 1/2" from base to horn tip. Yes I work in Imperial. :tongue:

I hopped into this Horn and roughed it up for a rugged finish before applying the finishing CA. Peter.
