    New old lathe

Hi all, These are the first two off my newly refurbished lathe, not a bad job to do really, but I did use a large clamp to press things home and not the BIG hammer. Two Cyclones from Phil, these kits are very nice and upto Phils high standards as always:thumbs::thumbs:

    GREVLLIA Striata/CASURINA Cunninghamiana

Never have found too much timber gathered with the correct name in isolated areas of the Northern Territory certainly Beef Wood is the common name for both. It is a firm favourite for me with the so definite Medullary Rays providing and great show as the pen is turned around. The amount of...

    Sharpening jig blocks

I find it much easier to use jigs for sharpening so I made these blocks for some recent tools. The rectangular block is for my 10mm round skew, the large triangular block is for my 1/2" point tool and the smaller one for a 1/4" detail tool. M6 set screws hold the tools in place whilst sharpening.
