I appreciate this has been discussed many times before but there is currently an interesting dialogue on The International Association of Penturners members forum about pen finishing. I take this to be a concern with wood rather than acrylics as using one of the proprietary polishes on plastic...

Just bought my first lathe and will be getting everything set up soon. Totally new to turning apart from when at school a long time ago.
Thanks for the chance to take part on here.

It's been 8 weeks since my surgery. I was able to get out of the sling last week and start stretching exercises to get some range of motion back. Therapy twice a week. Long way to go. Going to try turning something in a couple weeks. Might be able to ride the motorcycle by June.
Well the first pen for 2020 and the first for a long time:face::face::face:
I had this kit in my pen draws for ages and the blank is one half of one that I drilled before breaking the other half and the hole was just the right size for this kit as well as being long enough. just shows that not...
