I was watching a few clips on You Tube and see some people use soap and water when wet sanding with micro mesh.

Here are todays efforts dark coloured blank from Pen Moulds and Blanks and the yellow blank from else where but I can't remember.
Only difference with these after sanding with micro mesh to 12000 I applied a coat of Microcrystalline wax, then buffed with a soft cloth.
Managed to get in the shed again, happy with the result using a fancy slimline from penkitzandbitz.
Tried wet and dry then micro mesh and though not perfect I think it's better than my first attempt.
When I went to see Vic back in the spring, he mentioned the Robert Sorby Spindlemaster and I bought the micro version last week. Specially made for pen-making, it's only small, but so versatile.
