Hi pen people I posted a similar pen to this in purple a little while back. This is the green version which, instead of acrylic, has ebonite threads and section. It also has an ebonite finial on the barrel. This allows me to make a compete pen from a single wooden blank (they are quite pricey)...

Another English Elm twist pen. I just love the grain and deep finish on this pen but sadly I have very little elm left.

I wanted to try a knot with 5 layers of veneer. Changed the glue so the edges are a bit cleaner.

I got a nice wee piece of elm burr at a local auction and this is one of the first ones turned. Omega pen kit. Alan

Isn't it funny when you look at a photograph of your pen you see all the defects? I used CA glue for the veneer in the celtic knot and the same glue for the oval window veneer which looks ok with the naked eye but is blurry in the photograph. I'm making another one and using clear CA to see if...

I know its not everyone’s cup of tea but i rather like oak especially when its from a friends garden!

Lastly we have a pair of Delta pens, dressed in London plane... I need to replace the lower nib as its slightly marked, Dan is supplying the spares...

My second pair are sporting stabalised spalted Beech again from Stiles and Bates...

Had this piece of London Plane Burr kicking around for ages and at last decided to use it on this Sirocco kit.

My latest pair or Mistral pens in Elm that came from a storm damaged tree in Hampshire. I just love this wood but sadly we have very little of it left.

Here are the first two pens I have ever turned, As with the bowl I really want to share it with you. The ball pen is a Zeta made out of Olive it has a twist function. The Fountain pen I made second is an Omega made from Turkey Oak (My view when looking at it is that it is a stunning pen) Gary

Hi everyone, First post here, so thought I'd show you my latest pen - a Mysterious Skies kit from Taylors Mirfield, with a resin blank from Toonpish Crafts on Instagram.

These are a few more of my first casting attempts and I'm so very pleased with the results.

A Majestic Skies kit from TM, the wood (if it is actually wood, could be a vine or something) is only what I can call "Lizard Wood" because it came from the Lizard tank that my son had. Finished with a coat of Melamine Lacquer . This is what it came like.

Well there are less blemishes at least.... here is effort no.4 - no two pens have been the same yet as I'm trying out different kits & techniques. Regards Padster
