This one took a lot of patience and a very, very light touch. I wanted to start sanding before it was even round. Chisel got sharpened ever 2 minutes as this was tough bit of wood.

I was sent this idea for making round name ornaments.
Started this afternoon and got this result very quickly. Will try and complete it in the morning.

Made this to enter the pen box competition on IAP but I missed the deadline. Made of Poplar (it's a prototype) based on a scaled up .50 caliber round. Step drilled 5/8 and 1 1/8. It's made for the bolt action. No finish just Beall buffed.
