Been asked to make "something" for end of school term for teachers to gift to the school kids. But not pens/pencils or spinning tops. Anyone got any ideas that would obviously be cheap n easy to make n would only cost a couple quid

Those that know me know I work in a school..... Yesterday I found 8 old chisels, I thought I could clean them up, a bit of a sharpen.... Job done.
Now as its a school I thought I should only offer to sharpen the odd chisels in DT whilst I have my Sorby set...

Evening all.
I organised a couple of days in 2014 and 15 that raised money for the School I worked in, and gave an enjoyable (hopefully) day out for many people I know in the wood turning world.
I have since left the School but may resurrect this meet if there is enough interest?

Can anyone please tell me what this timber is? It's from a old school science lab table, I'm thinking it's iroko but would like it confirming as I'm no expert.
