Not happy with first photograph which doesn't do justice to this lovely timber, this photo shows a piece of the blank.

This is one reason I don't post that many items of turning as I have been making this Monmouthshire waggon well as far as I have got the mortice and tenons seem to take forever to cut out. Have we got rabies or some form of highly contagious diseases in the south. Wood working shows are a rare as rocking horse s**t.

I managed to bag a load of veneer on evilbay last week The plan iwas to use it for segmented pens. However some of it is too nice for that. The photo below shows a small quantity of the veneers in a 30 inch square. This is about a fifth of what I received.

Last for today, i used a nice piece of Amboyna for a fantastic pen kit .. Just to add that the bushings that came with these kits are the best i have ever seen or used, top marks for this Phil .. Not forgetting the Bock Nib that came with it .. :winking: Again the flash mark shows on these...
