    RECEIVED two pens yesterday

About a week ago I cleaned out part of one of my many sheds and sent 400 miles away 50 kg of cut timber blanks to a good mate. Included in the two huge boxes were these two pen blanks. On facebook I picked up on a plea for back loading from this company and spent a day packing the...

    I'm giving up

Yes, I am definitely giving up as I have now had too much. I have come to the conclusion that gardening is overrated. I spent half of today planting seeds in pots to a total of 84 individual pots. I could have spent that time in the shed. I did, however, persuade the wife to mow the back...

    Need some help

Hi all, Someone here allready turned ivory ? If yes, what kind of tools you use for it ? I used my standard tools ( skew, gouge, carbide scraper, etc... ) and they become all dull after a few minutes. Spent more time on sharpening than turning... If one of yours have a suggestion :thinks:

    Simples!

Haven't bothered with fairs for years, but I've been asked to do a "Gifts for Christmas" fair in early November. Realised I didn't have any pocket money stuff so spent literally minutes on these!

    The Wife's Toys.

I was looking for something in one of my cupboard when I came across this box. I could'nt remember putting it there, when I opened it I I found these. Then I remembered a long time ago the wife wanted to take up carving, so took her to Carbatec in Adelaide and bought these and other stuff. I...

    Cigar AA-X

This is a Cigar pen in bright black. The blank is an acrylic acetate called AA-X. It was on sale for $2, so I couldn't pass it up. I'm pleasantly surprised! Two dollars well spent!
