    Crimbo pressie for me...

    So the wife reciprocated her sewing box, with amongst other things an Axi Gift Card..... So armed with said card I visited the store and spent a small fortune on top of it on a new lathe and chuck system!!! Anyway long story short here is my first effort at a bowl (never tried one previously)...

    New Pens

    I have been dabbling making pens from this (sorry, I don't know how to rotate the image, it is OK on my computer!) ... to these ... via this ... The lighter coloured wood is from the spindles between the legs, the darker wood is from the seat which I believe is African Mahogany.

    Grandson phoned me the other day and asked if spindles are any good to use on my lathe, being a bit of a tight git I said bring em over and i will have a look, and they were longish door handle spindles, very hard steel, so this is what I used em for! My fav price :ciggrin:
