After my chat with Garno, I went to turn these.... I gave up before they did..... Boy did I try
I wondered why one went slack on the mandrel, then I saw the crack.... :sob:
I next tried Milliput to fill the crack, which worked really well, but when I put my first finish coat on it stuck out like...
The first pen blanks I tried were slipping on the mandrel and I discovered the glue hadn't stuck. Applied more glue and left overnight. Stuck solid (I think).
Tried to turn and they're still slipping, no matter how tight the brass nut is.
Any advice would be appreciated.
When turning acrylic blanks how do you finish them?
Whilst waiting for a delivery I decided to turn an acrylic blank I have with an image stuck on the tube, do I just go through the grits on sandpaper? or just try buffing it until I can see the image?

One of the Push Button oilers ball is stuck in my lathe.
I have pulled the brass housing out, but the ball is stuck about 25 mm in.
I tried getting a magnetised rod to try and pull it out, didn't work.:rant::rant:

My second Zeta did not go to plan, the tube refused to go in the last quarter of an inch.
So I turned it back another quarter and stuck on a piece of Parapan.
