Started this a few months ago and put it aside.
When done (??) I should be able to mount it on the
left end of the headstock spindle of my Clausing metal lathe
and the wood lathe. 7-1/4'' x 60 tooth saw blade. Even with
carbide tools on the metal lathe it was tough to cut out the disc.
Its been a month of 'unusuality', this time a hunter asked me to make a pen from a boars tooth because he had shot it, (the Boar that is not the tooth:rolling:) A bolt action from Vince at Turners workshop.
Another new kit for me. I chose the magnum size because with it I can carry tooth picks in the barrel. You could put pills or even roll up paper money. You can unscrew either end. Its a 3/8 kit with a 3" blank.
I tried to cut a pen blank using my scroll saw using a brand new Olsen skip tooth blade. the blade hardly penetrated the blank.
What type of blade should I use?
