Derek gifted me an Elm blank which I am trying to turn into a potpourri bowl. Not finished yer as I have had to secure some cracks and waiting for the adhesive to cure. But this is what it looks like at the moment.
I think it Elm.....has a great figure.

Ok, it had to happen eventually and today is the day :thinks:
I have 3 tubes in the pot and have read all of the advice regarding casting and getting the tubes right, what to do, what not to do etc etc
It’s now a waiting game to see what they are like :whistling:

Well I took the plunge and invested in a bandsaw. :banana:
I went for the new Record Power Sabre 350 14" from Yandles and what a good choice it was.
The adjustment is easy and appears to be spot on. Power appears to ample for the 28cm max cut .
The only bad point is it comes in a single box...
Well same again workmen flooring flying every were so I run for the hills well went down the bottom of the garden and I tripped and landed in me workshop and hit the start button on me lathe well it seemed like fate to me so I stayed just to see what happened next he he he well thats my story...
