Hi everyone,
Since my health emergency last week I have not been on as much as I would like, I have been told to stay in bed for 3 weeks followed by light duties.
Since then I have been informed I need to reduce any stress I may have in my life.
I have difficulties getting up to my shed and...
I have been thinking for weeks now if I should buy something that I desperately need, at least that's what I told Mrs G.
When fit enough I go up to the shed and make a pen or 2, when I'm not at my best I stay in bed, that can often mean me staying in bed for weeks at a time sadly. So what I...
Hi All,
These are 3 more Cypriot Olive blanks harvested 300+ years ago.... These were really dry, so they had a little soak in warm oil and left a couple of weeks. I don't know if it did any good, but it certainly hasn't hurt them and I do like the results
I returned home today to begin an 8 week lay about while my newly fused ankle heals. Both flat feet have collapsed to the point where I was bone on bone. At times the pain was crushing. 2 metal rods held in place with 4 screws. 4 more screws to get my foot bones into their proper place...
It’s been a while since I posted on here. Covid for some reason stopped me doing my thing for some stupid reason. I haven’t been in my shed for over 18 months. I have taken the decision to get my backside out of gear and get up their tomorrow and have a sort out and tidy up. Hopefully I should...

The members of the club were on a different level when it...
It's been 8 weeks since my surgery. I was able to get out of the sling last week and start stretching exercises to get some range of motion back. Therapy twice a week. Long way to go. Going to try turning something in a couple weeks. Might be able to ride the motorcycle by June.
In 2016 I injured myself and was away from the shed for almost a year. Well it's happened again except I don't have a clue how I was injured. No falls, no accidents, nothing. One day I woke up sore and it didn't get better. MRI confirmed rotator cuff damage AND a torn bicep tendon...
Congratulations to angelo49 for an unprecedented third time in a row for his winning pen http://www.penturners.co.uk/wood-turned-pens/24125-knotted-euro.html?highlight=Knotted+Euro in this week's Pen of the Week.
Angelo's pen will feature on the Forum's front page until the next winner is decided.
I haven’t posted much for a while having been on an enforced slow down after the surgeons decided that they want to play with the zipper they stuck in my chest 3 times since September. Anyway I'm back at 95% functionality (it won’t get more than that), and I have had a successful couple of...
