Tried again 10” yew bowl see if it works this time

This is my second try at a blank that I wasnt happy with and had posted a couple of days ago. I think that the thinner divider works better.

Had a bit of a gamble regards wood colour. With the pen being black chrome it was screaming out to me to have a dark theme, instead I went for the last of my yellow cedar burr that a secret santa gave me, and I think it works. Mrs G has well and truly claimed it and wants me to do a matching...

Hi all, Another George Watkins blank, this time on a Mistral... (those that don't know if you tube up a blank with Levech tubes it also works with the Mistral FPs and vice versa)

I was gifted a small piece of burr oak... SO set about finding the right kit and think this works... Padster

Asked a few questions on different sites about polyurethane dipping. Seamed like it was it wasn't for me. Sooo decided to get bits I needed and !Do it my way! It may be done like this by others but just went for it. Firstly got the white decal waterslide no good no good for the 2 jobs in mind...

Hi, I was wondering if anyone had any opinions on the best/cheapest glass clear resin for pen blank making. I've been using GlassCast 50 Epoxy resin from Easy Composites which works well, has no smell but is quite expensive. Cheers...Neil

Gunmetal/Chrome Sirocco dressed in Indian Rosewood. No finish applied, just buffed with soft cloth to a natural sheen. I was pleasantly surprised at how well the combination works.

Sometimes, something really nice "turns" up when you work with driftwood. The colour on this one is really rich - a gift for my sister's chap. He's an engineer by trade and works for one of the big names in F!. He thinks it's brilliant - works for me!! Not sure I'll get my head through the door...

A Mistral turned using M3 Mokume, I find this a fascinating material with a lot of depth, and of course the metallic shimmer. I think the space age quality of M3 works well with the traditional quality of the Mistral. Haven't seen much of it on the forum recently!

Grand kids came to visit us this weekend, one of the grandsons showed me what they do when work is slow at the metal works firm where he works up country! Log burners from gas bottles and odd bits of metal...:thinks: :rolling:
