Hello my friends,
I'm sorry if lately I'm not very active on the forum, but I had a lot of stuff to do and got almost no time to make pens.
Since I don't have a metal lathe in the shop, i asked my employer if in my spare time I can use the one I use for work, in order to turn a couple of mandrel for closed end pens.
Since he kindly allowed me to use it, i made 2 mandrels 1 for Jr Gents (but i used it to turn a classic as well) and 1 for Churchill.
These are the 1st results

For the Classic, I used one of my "Lucky strike" blanks, and a symple acrylic for the jr.
The jr Gent is postable, but it's long enough to be used unposted even for large hands users.
I got a fair amount of quality blanks from the turner workshop and some Churchill kits from penkitsuk.
I'm only waiting for the 33/64" to be in stock again at my local hardware store, and i will start with the closed end Churchill.
At least I can chose from some blanks now:

The orange crushed and the green crushed, make me drool every time i look at 'em:drool:
Cheers

A couple of nicely turned pens Francesco. And you certainly have some good blanks to choose from. Hope that you are able to get back into the workshop more often now.

As requested, the mandrels pics.

A couple of quick shot of the mandrels.
I sicerely don't know, how they are called in the UK, but here in italy we call 'em "Mandrino a Spina".
