Howdy,
following the post of gucci blanks (the post is here), I tried turning a Churchill:

The swirl is very light, and i like it, but it don't show in the picture taken with the Iphone (the reflex is mounted under my drone, and is too much a hassle to take it down :whistling:)
Here is a detail

I started to use epoxy for gluing the tubes, this way i can color the epoxy with a powdered die and and I paint the tube in the blank's base color.
The bad thing is that you need to glue the tube the day before, but for me is not a problem at all.

Cheers
Francesco

Just inked the pen with one of my favorite inks, the Diamine woodland green (i don't use cartridges in my fountains, only converters with bottled inks)

Very lovely ink

That really looks something special...i find the Churchill's need a good blank to look at there best or they end up looking bland...no chance there.
Well turned and finished:bwink:

Liked your approach to your new found blanks Francesco great to see you out and about without your weapon doing what we all love turning pens. Beaut example of a closed end mate.
