An olive corkscrew/bottlestop turned today

And one with a piece of cross cut yew - I left this a little thicker as it was a bit prone to tearing the grain when cross cut, no matter how much I sharpened the skew.

Nice cork screw, what's a bottle stop?

For moderate drinkers Brian. As young man I always cleaned up a 750mm bottle of sparkling Apple juice with a meal decided I really liked fluids to prevent myself from an alcohol problem except for rare exceptions remained alcohol free knowing my propensity to empty bottles. My Uncle was a drunk.

David I like the combination idea your choices of timber brave using cross cut wood for one, they look great.
