An olive corkscrew/bottlestop turned today





And one with a piece of cross cut yew - I left this a little thicker as it was a bit prone to tearing the grain when cross cut, no matter how much I sharpened the skew.

In built mechanism in the bottle when there is no more liquid in the bottle air comes out. This should tell you to stop drinking from this bottle, some inebriated people ignore this and continue to drink to the amusement of surrounding people.

For moderate drinkers Brian. As young man I always cleaned up a 750mm bottle of sparkling Apple juice with a meal decided I really liked fluids to prevent myself from an alcohol problem except for rare exceptions remained alcohol free knowing my propensity to empty bottles. My Uncle was a drunk.
