First one is a blank I made from Sapele, Maple & Bloodwood & segmented with 0.2mm Brass sheet, with Brass fittings. 2nd one is a commissioned pen for a customer, from Pink/blue veined acrylic & Purple with Brushed Pewter fittings. Love the kit Phil, great look and just works really well.

You have picked really good timbers for the Antique Brass ....the colours suit that kit very well.
The brass sheeting in the pen is a good idea.
Thanks Alan, I tend to have plenty of Sapele & Maple lying around and I recently bought the Bloodwood. I've often used 0.2mm aluminium to go with chrome pens & only recently got hold of the brass, which I bought as 20mm wide and 1 metre lengths. Just need to rough them up a bit with sandpaper for a key with CA glue.

Hi Alan, I've just made another segmented pen & took loads of photo's of my process with notes; can you email me and I'll print off & send it by post to you. The software I've used isn't very user friendly to send online? My email is: garys_pens@myyahoo.com
