I had a parcel arrive today with a load of London Plane blanks (from Dave (lignaterrae) quickly dispatched & good value) I just love this wood.:banana:

Yesterday I was asked to make a couple of Sierra stylus pens in a light wood, so I took the opportunity to use a blank from the above parcel. :whistling: I know not all of you like the stylus on a pen but my customers love them :banana::banana: I must order more, will chat to Dan :thinks::thinks:

Billy, they are a a pair of corkers, lovely wood. So often this has little areas of discolouration, which being natural are ok, but when they look and are turned like this its even more beautiful. Dims are spot on, looks like you measured between every pass of the sandpaper, and it looks as though you have got your kit set up to perfection. Nice shape to the pens, not the straight "torpedo".

Nice wood to go with the black, but after this plus a few lighter woods you're snookered.

You've certainly got enough blanks to make one or two pens Billy and if they're anything like the ones you're showing here, they'll fly off the shelf. Very nice indeed

Thanks Neil, I usually make my Sierras far more bulbous / thicker but having read a post on here earlier this week ( I think it was one of yours, a review maybe of Dan's Sierra) I thought I would try doing them much slimmer, whilst checking out that the pens were more symmetrical, a lot more wood to come off but the end result is worth it (well I think so). I will still make a few of the fatter ones because people buy them but will be surprised if these aren't just as popular if not more so.

Billy they are the dogs danglies mate, great pictures, great turning and as Neil says the dims are spot on it seems.

I have some LP in the shed and I keep meaning to do something with it and never do. You just inspired me to finally get it done.

I don't think I've seen a bad london plane pen and you've kept up the tradition Billy, well done.
