I've got some ProKraft Byrons and am struggling with cross-threading when posting. The cap tends to jam and needs several goes to get it on. The cap thread is triple-start. They've just changed it for 2021 and maybe it is now single-start but I got mine in December. The TM Omega looks very similar. Is the thread triple-start, please? Have you found any tendency to cross-threading?
By the way, the TM Web site has a video for assembling the ballpoint, but for a fountain pen you want to align the pocket clip with the nib when posted. With a 3-start thread this is a bit hit and miss in my experience. I'd like to know your thoughts on this, please. Incidentally, you can also align the grains when posted separately from aligning them when closed.

I'm probably not the best to ask as I don't know the Byron and I can't say I've ever lost any sleep about where the clip is when posted. I just ensure that a grain alignment is possible when the cap is on.

Thanks, Neil. When the cap is posted I like the clip to be pointing to the nib. This ensures it won't be touching your hand as you write. The Byron looks identical except for the shape of the pocket clip. The finial is a little shorter, maybe.
