I bought 5 smallish burrs today for £35 from a man that used to turn wood. Unfortunately there was a lot of worm in them but having cut them down I'm happy with the number of blanks that I got from them although they are going to take a bit of work on each one to make a nice pen but I like a challenge and here a the first 3 as a test on Sierras bought from Dan

Doc you always make a nice pen lately and finish them superbly.
I have every confidence you will make a super job of all of them and recoup your dosh with a goodly profit to show.
Nice presentation here init?

Lovely burr Paul sounds like you got a bargain, do you know what the burrs are?

Unfortunately not Doug although I'm pretty sure one is a Walnut and another Oak. The Walnut didn't have any woodworm at all but was the smallest burr.
