Well it survived overnight

View from the top as some may not have seen this stack

SAM_2843.JPG

Removed the wings on the disc sander

SAM_2844.JPG

Drilled a 1/8 th hole each end and mounted between centres to round it prior to drilling.

SAM_2846.JPG

Bit further reduced, starting to see some of the gaps now, due to not being bang on square.

The finished result !

Lots of lessons learned here, main one is you have tot be absolutely bang on with the squareness.

Gaps all over unfortunately, but hey, I didn't expect to get it perfect first time.

It can be very frustrating when you put so much effort in and finding out at the end that you've built in a few features. However now you know what you did wrong, the next one will be spot on. I really like the herringbone that you've chosen there, nothing like making it easy eh? Good on ya for trying.

Watching the Olympic Snowboarders last night with a particular interest in the Girl from Cooma near us I have known since she was a child I know what she is made of and her courage is incredible along with all the other competitors then Phill I see you diving into Herringbone mate I raise my hat to you not only showing the way but also facing the demons. By now I would have to be fed with a tube while Doctors found out where my fingers were joined to other body parts with CA everywhere. I completely understand your remark the next will be a while. Continue to have so called fun mate.

Kind regards Peter.

Thanks all for the kind words, it's much appreciated !

I will admit that I enjoyed doing this even though it was very much a stretch of ability.

At least I ended up with a pen out of it, at one point I thought I was going to have a lot of multi colored firelighters. I'll do it again but not for a while.

Onwards and upwards, but next time something a tad less ambitious.
