Zebra and cherry, doesn't mix well, I used charcoals toothpaste as a finish before ca coat as it's a light abrasive. The black went in the grains and gave a lovely effect. Unfortunetly the woods didn't work together.

Its a slow learning process. I've nearly used my first set of slim lines up. Any suggestions on where to go from here?

Looking good..... Slimlines and come to that streamlines can be and proberbly are the hardest pens to master as whats left after turning is wafer thin....Ideas where to go next....if you can do a slimline well then most things are possible.....i would go for a single tube kit for a change and say try the ubiquitos Sierra and its many clones..... Taylors Mirfield Ares or Beauforts Sirroco if you want to try a fountain pen then try TM Omega or Beauforts Levechee.....You could always try acrylic or Corian:thinks:

Where in the UK are you Ant? There may be members near you who will give you more teaching experience than any video can?

Looks like your getting the hang of it, well done, nice pen. The options as to what to try next are endless and I agree with all the previous suggestions you've had. Good luck.

Regards

Craig
