1917 Sopwith pup.
Our woodturning club was approached by enthusiasts at Hooton Trust. They are renovating this 1917 Sopwith Pup to display.
We were asked if we could make the “shrouds” that cover the cable joints between the two wings. Since then we have made various parts including a number of replica bombs.
The engine was 3d printed and the pilots seat was woven from drawings by a lady in Scotland.
Ongoing project.

Well Dave, that's a bomber! No seriously, fantastic turning for a brilliant project. You all must be very happy with the out come. Would like to see the finished plane when it's done. And, not one pen in sight!

Thanks Kelvin.
I’ll get a full photo when it’s finished.
they also have a number of planes there, including a Spitfire.

Thanks guys.
This wasn’t just me.
Two other guys from the wood club did a lot of work too.
I made a mistake with the name of the plane.
It’s a Sopwith Baby Float plane.

Great job all round by all of those involved, just the thing that would be of interest to me as I would get so much enjoyment from doing something like this (No I am not volunteering :funny:)
