Hi Folks
Following your generous invitation to show off pens . . . please find here a snap of a few pens I made for the local church roof restoration fund.
I was donated some of the old roof timbers following a very expensive renovation. One of the historians in the village gave some copy for us to work up a 'Certificate of Authenticity' which we issued with two limited runs of 30 and 50 pens. Raised around £3K for the fund (I just charged for materials)

Very worthwhile project and good exposure in the village.

Exactly what I am about to do for our Church

They have had exactly the same issue with rotten timbers and have been asked if I would like to "Take my pick" of the timber as it comes out of the roof in the summer.

Again to raise funds to help repair the church roof.

Our Church originates from Norman times when very few houses around the village, mostly farms, with the Victorians enlarging it to what it is today.

It’s also steeped in history with Shillingstone being given the "Bravest Village In England" award by the King during WW1 for the number of volunteers that went off to war (only 10% came back)

Hope mine look as good as yours

Hi Gadget UK,
Yeah we made up these Certificates of Authentication just to make the package look a bit more attractive. Pens were sold in a Black Velvet presentation box (turners Retreat do these at good price) We charged £45 each . . . may have got a bit more but who knows.

I've attached our Certificate Of Auth in case its of any use, it uses mail merge to link a spread sheet to it but this is a zipped up two page screen shot. Hmm soz got a bit complicated just simply posting!!!
