I got my lathe all set up and the only bit of wood I could find was a bit of stud left over from building the partition wall our grandson loves it and even if it was a bit of crap wood I enjoyed getting my hand back in considering I thought my turning days were over
I tried to upload a photo but it wont work for me

I went in with the skew you gave me Jim almost to the center at the tailstock end turned it around tightened up the tailstock just enough on the little bit I left then do the same again at the tailstock end then just remove it from the lathe and slice of the two dimples walla job done

That's not just a "bit" of crap wood, that's allot of decent clean wood. Suppose if you hadn't turned it you would have chucked in to back of the fire..:vangry:

Just look what enjoyment you have got out of it.. now that means I can't chuck any of my "bits" of crap wood away now woody, it's all your fault..:funny:

Nice bit of turning woody, just shows you have not lost anything, a bit like riding a bike..

I know just what you mean Woody, i have the Nova DVR XP, which had the same stickers that yours has, after a few weeks i pulled them all off and wiped all the sticky patches with warm water and washing up liquid ... Why do they put all these stickers on in the first place ... :nooidea:
