A bit of thingamajig .5mm brass sheet & some wotsit 2mm brass rod on some howsyer father African black wood good fun I wanted to do something like this design pen before I was told to give up turning so I had to purchase the brass all over again so it has been a long time in the making so I hope you enjoy it I am

Great duo mate ...that first one is indeed a cracker ,those brass rod inserts make it look like knife scales ,lovely jubbly :claps:
