I made this a couple of Xmas's ago. After my sight went in 2007-2009 I tried some difficult pieces, some I've shown today on different threads To see what level I could achieve because I was off the lathe for 18 months.
Evelyn bought me a wine bottle holder in stainless steel for a Xmas box the year before & I always wanted to make one, which I did.
It was a big challenge but I managed it. I turned everything except his moustache, chinstrap & buckle. Even his boots are turned. This one is made of Sycamore.
The Daughter grabbed it & still uses it.
Hope you like it.

Took a while Bob. If I remember there were 35 turned parts to this one. Can't really say how long it really took because I didn't make it all in 1 go.
