Great looking pens Vic, please please share your secret to these great pics, are you using manual or auto exposure and if manual what settings are you using to get such a white background?? My background is always slightly grey no matter what I do and I have day light lighting as well. :thinks::thinks:

Now Ray you have asked me a right question their :sob: I have just followed the instructions given to me by my Mentor Mate Terry. I use a compact point and shoot camera. I alternate between the one Jim sent me a Sony Cybershot and one I have borrowed of my daughter a Nikon Coolpix L27. Both of the cameras are very basic. I take the pics in the auto mode on a Macro setting. My lighting set up is what Terry recommended being a 50cm x 50cm x 50cm light tent and 3 B&M lamps fitted with 45W 5500K Photography bulbs which are situated either side and on the top of the light tent. As instructed by Terry I have the camera mounted on a Tripod and take the pic on a 10 sec time delay. Now comes the technical bit of editing the photo all I can tell you is that I do it in Adobe Photoshop which Terry put me onto. Terry spent about an Hour and a Half patiently taking me through the process. I am if you like a clone to this operation ie I know the sequence of editing but do not really understand what is happening other than after pressing the sequence of buttons I end up with a lovely picture.

Top pens beaut pics the green one has me fascinated Vic, thanks for your comments further down you prove that an ability to use flash as software simple lighting and cheap cameras are all thats necessary the results prove it. I follow simple ways no knowledge of software to speak of fraid this is how it will be me.
