I managed to get a couple of hours in the shed today. Even with the heater on it was still damn cold.

First pen is a Streamline covered in some acrylic I found at the bottom of a drawer

The second is a Zeta wearing a piece of acrylic Woody gave Sue at the Newark meet up earlier this year

The worst bit was spraying the tubes. It was that could I had to bring them into the house and get a hair dryer on them :rolling:

Jeez, thought you were a Viking!
Stop messing around with plastic and stick a bit of wood on the pole Lathe. You'll soon be warm enough!

Nice pens, by the way.:whistling:

You ought to spend more time freezing your ass off if you can produce pens like this Chas .. The bottom picture looks as though it has the Jules Rimet Trophy on it .. :winking:

I reckon you've turned out a couple of real crackers there, Chas. Beautifully finished and photographed! Well done, matey!

And as for the cold - what cold? Down here in Kent we've had sunshine all day long, no wind, and temps around 14/15 degrees. Workshop door was open all day!

Bob.

I thought they were strong
I thought they were bold
A good strong Viking wouldn't moan about cold

When winters arrive
To keep themselves right
They chuck on another fur and bind it up tight

So come on our Chas
Man up and be brave
Wrap yourself up for your time on the lathe

Despite all your moaning
I really must say
You've made two cracking pens on a really cold day
