A couple of Sierras from today :thinks:

One in chrome / chrome, the one on the left from a bit of wood (small branch) that I got in York at Neil's little shindig, I thought it was cherry when I got it, not so sure now, might be yew, who knows, I don't. :whistling::whistling:

One in Chrome / gold in Thuya burl :thinks:

I thought it was a bit more local than that, it was in small branches about a foot long and 2 inch diameter (I really should speak in metric on here) It was in Neil's pile in the foyer at York.
Very nicely done Billy!
The wood was very local indeed!
The wood is Laburnum from my back garden.
The tree came down 6 years ago. The main trunk pieces were very dark in the heartwood, but the smaller branches were more of the golden colour you have here.

Thank you Neil, I thought yo might have a rough idea but didn't think you would be totally responsible for it :whistling::whistling:

Thanks I will double the price of them now that I know what the wood is and where it came from :thinks::thinks:

Sumac is local Billy, they are trees which look similar to Ash but have big red blobs on them... they're also call the rain tree. I've cut some up and they look exactly like this when made into a pen.
