Ceylon Satinwood on a gold plated slimline, the wood is quite bland and not very attractive to be honest, it has a slight red grain running down the length and that is all that can be said about this pen ... It has a red/yellow center band to add life (failed) and finished with Friction polish and waxed with renaissance wax ...

Zambezi Redwood on a chrome plated slimline, this wood has a pattern similar to some of the Burr Elm i have, thou this is a bit tougher to turn .. The center band used on this pen is Ebony .. I gave this a few coats of Friction polish for the finish and waxed with renaissance wax ..

Is renaissance wax the same as Chestnuts microcrystalline wax?
