Just playing really!
A couple of crap kits, some off cut Silver Birch, and Leather piercing needles.

Made the bottom one first and turned the second to the same diameter without realising all the nib ends are different!:funny:

Never mind, it will get used.

Even though you made the mistake due to kit sizes being different I think the top handle shape is more pleasing. Both are well turned and finished so carry on regardless

:funny: Do you need some more Lederhosen Doug!:whistling::funny:

Ali's Grandad used to be a Leather worker. He was apparently desperate to have a career in cabinet making, but his Father wouldn't allow it!

He was apprenticed at the Karrimore factory, and spent his working life there.

He still used to make furniture though!

He died many years ago, but we saved a lot of bits he had, in the spirit of " It will come in Useful one day"!:whistling:

I've used one of these piercing needles in a antler handle, for 15 years now!
