Matt in the UK is a man a friend of mine called Steven Jackson who lives in Wales go to the IAP look him up as Skiprat he has his own site in the UK and look closely at his hand skills self taught in pens on his site he has how to sections to take your breath away his treatment with Stainless steel shows extreme skill among his shown examples are pens to remember that belong in a museum IMHO.

Thankyou for your referred Videos where the guys have honed their skills another way for production.

He certainly does have some stunning ideas and his self taught skills are second to none.

I have seen videos like this before Matt. Just shows how ingenuity wins the day..

I've been emailing with Skiprat lately on something he did that I'm going to attempt to copy.

I wanted to first check he didn't mind and to ask a couple of questions regarding how he did his pen.

He has been very helpful and is in no way outraged that I'm shamelessly copying the idea, in fact he said he looks forward to seeing my attempt. He may change his mind if / when I finish it.

He really does have some stunning stuff on his site.

I had to smile when I saw how the fella in the first video 'drilled' the centre hole in the barrel blank. Paul, see how easy it is to drill a centred hole on the lathe? :funny::funny::funny:

Lovely video, I would love to be able to make something like that, its so skill-full... dream on Middleton and get back to yer slimline.
