A first for me

Only because of the kindness and generosity of Colin @Gadget-UK who gave me a couple of lengths of this Corian.
I segmented in a couple of bits of Kirinite Silver Pearl.
I always admired the Corian pens and stands that the late Woody showed here and now I got the opportunity to make one myself. Thank you Colin.
It went straight into my wife's handbag.

Funny stuff to sand as well....like sanding a stick of chalk.
How do you finish your ones????

That one got snapped up by my wife.....good job you sent me what you did as she wants a couple for her friends.
At least I can experiment a bit more!!!

Boat Polish.. (Farcla 500) then a coat of wax....they don't coat worktops

I sanded with Abranet ( 400g then 600g ) Buffed with Tripoli and White Diamond then a car polish and wax combined......Thoughts? Is the buffing not needed?

I only see scratches if I put my glasses on!!!!

clean the dust off your glasses more carefully Alan

A lovely pen Alan.
I dry sand to 600 then 0000wire wool then polish withFarecla 300 then Farecla 500. As Mark says, corian gives a good finish.

Never come across Farecia before....I'll have to look it up.
